ADYEN LEVEL 2

PROJECT INFORMATION
Adyen is a global financial technology platform that enables businesses to accept payments, protect revenue, and accelerate growth through a single end-to-end solution. As its Australian operations evolved, the Sydney team identified an opportunity to enhance its workplace — creating dedicated spaces for learning, collaboration, and client engagement to support a growing workforce.
Located in Surry Hills, the project involved the expansion and refurbishment of Adyen's existing workplace, delivering an additional 500sqm of functional, flexible space for employees and clients alike.
TRUE Fitout & Constructions has delivered for Adyen since 2021, when the first project established the foundation of a trusted working relationship. This latest engagement reflects the confidence Adyen places in TRUE as a long-term construction partner.
THE TRUE SOLUTION
Working closely with Adyen and key project stakeholders, TRUE Fitout & Constructions delivered a workplace that balances functionality, flexibility, and brand experience.
A central project objective was to create a dedicated training and event environment to support ongoing learning, development, and team engagement. The new level features a purpose-built training hub with tiered seating and presentation facilities — a versatile setting for workshops, town halls, company events, and client engagement.
Beyond increasing capacity for a growing team, the workplace now offers a range of settings suited to different workstyles: additional workstations, quiet focus booths, collaboration lounges, and informal meeting areas give employees greater choice in how and where they work. A refreshed wellness room rounds out the offering, supporting employee wellbeing across the floor.
A significant addition — introduced after the detailed design phase was complete — was a branded demonstration space. Carefully integrated into the existing design language, it provides Adyen with an engaging environment to showcase its products and technology, and to strengthen connections with clients, partners, and visitors.
The design draws on natural timber finishes, soft textures, integrated planting, brand colours, and contemporary architectural detailing. Curved forms and considered collaboration spaces reflect Adyen's global identity while remaining grounded in its Sydney context.
Delivering the project within a live operational environment required detailed planning and disciplined stakeholder management. A further coordination layer was introduced by Adyen's internal Project Lead being based in the United States — requiring TRUE to manage a globally distributed approval and decision-making structure while maintaining on-site momentum in Sydney. TRUE developed a detailed staging strategy with dedicated work zones, day-by-day construction programming, and proactive noise management to minimise disruption to employees throughout the build. Close coordination across multiple globally appointed AV, IT, and security partners ensured seamless integration with Adyen's international workplace standards.
THE OUTCOME
The new training and event hub has quickly become a central space for knowledge sharing and team engagement, while the demonstration space is already generating new opportunities for client interaction and product showcasing.
With a broader mix of focus, collaboration, and wellbeing settings now in place, employees have greater flexibility in how they work day to day — supporting both Adyen's culture and its performance as the team continues to grow.
Delivered with minimal disruption to daily operations, the project has transformed the workplace into a scalable environment that strengthens employee experience and client engagement, positioning Adyen for continued growth in the Australian market.
