Smartest Energy, a fast-growing UK-based energy company, engaged TRUE to deliver a design and construct fitout for their Sydney office as they entered a premium commercial building in the CBD. The objective was to move away from a generic spec fitout and create a workplace that reflected their brand, culture, and ambition — balancing value for money with a refined, high-quality aesthetic.

With key stakeholders based in the UK, briefing and design approvals required clear communication and a structured decision-making process across time zones. At the same time, the space needed to feel premium while remaining cost-effective — transforming a standard office environment into a fitout that genuinely supported Smartest Energy’s identity and way of working.

TRUE developed a considered layout that positioned workstations and breakout spaces to maximise natural light and capture views across the park and city surrounds. Agile workstations were integrated along the back wall to support the flexibility and growth of the business.
The design language focused on a sleek, serene, and calm palette, creating a peaceful workplace environment while elevating the overall quality beyond a typical spec fitout. Through a collaborative and highly communicative process, TRUE worked closely with the UK team to align on the brief, secure approvals, and deliver a space that reflected Smartest Energy’s global brand in a local context.
