Wrays, a leading intellectual property lawfirm, engaged TRUE fitout & construction to refurbish and reimagine theirSydney workplace at 1 Castlereagh Street. The brief focused on elevating theclient arrival experience while creating additional offices and more effective work zones to support a growing team — all within a highly acoustically sensitive environment.

Delivered across two stages, the projectrequired a considered approach to staging, stakeholder coordination, andprecision delivery within a tight timeframe.

CHALLENGES

As an IP law firm, confidentiality andacoustic control were critical. Sound reduction was a key requirement acrossoffices, meeting rooms, and work zones.

The project also operated under a tight programme, with decision-makers basedinterstate, requiring clear, consistent communication and proactive stakeholdermanagement to maintain momentum and alignment.

The reception and welcome area were reimaginedto reflect a professional, contemporary first impression, while new offices and work zones were carefully planned to balance privacy, functionality, andacoustic performance.

Through close collaboration with Wrays’Perth-based stakeholders, TRUE maintained transparency across programming, cost management, and design decisions — ensuring the project remained on track atevery stage.

THE OUTCOME

The completed workplace provided Wrays with arefined client-facing environment, improved functionality, and acousticallyoptimised spaces tailored to legal practice requirements.

What began as a $290k refurbishment evolvedinto a two-stage project valued at $600k, delivering long-term value through afuture-focused, high-quality fitout that supports both client experience andstaff performance.
